    for reals tho, the spot you saw and thought was basement was almost the same angle as the one at 17:55! you can see the light switch very briefly in both, and the only light switch in the basement is in the stairway 😀
    my guess for the carnage in the basement is that it started hunting way back in a corner, and that that's also why it sounded so much like it was behind you at the start of the hunt.

  16. Ah, the Myling. In Norse mythology when a child who is forsaken by their parents is killed, they become extremely angry because they cannot rest. It makes sense because even though he has a tragic backstory, Phasmo's Myling seems to be the happiest and most talkative ghost probably referring to the fact he cannot rest. Constantly heard wherever he is, he will try to become friends with the other ghosts, notably Oni Phantom Twins and Banshee who also love being around friends. The quintet of oddly affectionate ghosts seems to be misinterpreted by hunters, as Oni tends to scare her friends by constantly doing things near them, Phantom's horrific appearance and tendency to follow hunters deters even the most stoic of investigators and because he is camera shy he disappears quickly almost as unnerving as it is to be followed by him, the Twins who love anything to do with socializing very usually confuses hunters and oftentimes frustrates them even though the brother and sister duo try to impress the hunter with synchronized tricks, and Banshee is a known stalker who creepily follows and watches from around corners while humming her favorite songs to her quarry, and finally Myling in a constant wish to become friends seems to talk in a language that hunters cannot understand very often, unintentionally creeping them out and sometimes catching them off guard. There are however a handful of ghosts who do not like Myling's outgoing nature: Demon is regarded as the roughest ghost around and will usually ignore or even intimidate Myling at every chance she gets, his idol Revenant is not so keen to him as Myling had adopted his evidences in Emf Writing and Fingerprints and sees Myling as an overly excited fanboy, Shade is so stricken by loud noises and surprises so harshly that he intentionally hides with Mare or Yokai whenever Myling comes around, Goryo who is similarly mistreated by other ghosts is timid whenever Myling is close and although they show signs of friendship it is only temporary, Jinn through his need to keep things organized in his home and wishing to train his and Demon's son Raiju in the electric arts dislikes Myling's attention getting as it distracts him from his duties, and most of all, Shade's new girlfriend Yokai is prone to headaches and hearing nonstop chatter and singing does not help Myling's case with the temperamental Yokai, resulting in her hating Myling and Banshee's guts. He however does not truly understand how much he and Banshee frustrates Yokai and has a similar relationship to Spongebob Patrick and Squidward, two are easygoing and hyper, the last wanting peace desperately. An unusual and unfortunate quirk is Myling's footsteps are way quieter than other ghosts, so whenever Yokai does not expect it, Myling tends to startle her very easily and this results in a chase around the house as Yokai tries to smack Myling with anything in her hands at the time while Myling shrieks like his Banshee buddy beside him. Mare and Hantu, who gave Goryo Shade and Yokai a room in their home and Mare's cousin Onryo rarely get to socialize with Myling but are on good terms. In an interview with Spirit and Wraith, Myling publicly stated "I'm open to any sort of fun and partying and only wish that people are patient with me. I don't mean bad intentions and just want someone to listen to me." As is the case, Myling is often seen with his quintet of friends at ghost parties hosted by Poltergeist, Obake, and Mimic who all love doing tricks. Hunters are usually both amused and horrified at Myling, one because of how much he talks and two due to his quiet feet he can easily sneak up on unsuspecting players.
