This is NOT a Ghost Event! – Phasmophobia Science

Recently there have been several myths going around the Phasmophobia community about Ghost Events, in this video I talk about these myths supported by video clips and proof. I would LOVE to hear your opinion about these topics in the comments below! It really confused me to hear level 2000+ players talk about these things in the complete opposite way. Much love and see you during the streams! 😀

  1. Insym – I know you don't VR often, but I'd like to know if you recollect noticing these in your VR games (either the real ghost events or the glitched Prison visuals)? 98% of my time in Phasmo has been VR and I can't think of even one time I've seen the either of these while in VR (I've experimented with bloom settings, too). However – in the 2% of my time spent in non-VR I've definitely seen both the real event ball of mist and Prison glitch… quite a lot. You definitely notice them if you know about them!

  2. But something that's interesting and weird is that I saw that "Mist-Glitch" on the Tanglewood Map as I went outside to the Van. Before that I thought it was only a glitch on the Prison Map. I've seen it many times before on prison, so I know exactly what it was. Idk if it's still in Tanglewood though due to the Update. Oh and yes, I know these Hiss Events, I have them often too. Maybe it's a ghost glitch and not a map glitch.
Btw cool videos Insym. I love your creativity. Keep it up! ^^

  3. I once had the mist spawn pretty far from me as I was moving away from it so it chased me for a good second before hit'n'hiss. Creepy.
Most of the time I don't notice it but that's expected, mist flies quite fast and isn't that visible while sound effect is impossible to miss.

  4. The ghost mist I dont think counts as a ghost event to my knowledge but its a rare event that can happen on any map, not just Prison.
EDIT: Nvm you explained it Insym, I thought you were saying the mist wasnt an event

  5. I personally think the reason for the divide is because they have people who will sit in the ghost room, and people who only step in to get evidence then stand outside the ghost room. While you can get the ghost event to happen outside a ghost room, the ghost (in my experience) has to be wandering to that location for it to happen.

Now has anyone noticed that the ghost even will happen and leave the room when it takes objects out of the room? I was on Grafton with the ghost in the entrance, and noticed a wisp going upstairs and watched the mannequin disappear, only to appear in the toddlers room.

  6. I seen that someone said they never seen it to and it was rare. I actually will have them come at me far away and I try running from them but I get them in every game

  7. I've seen the mist ghost event go out the map on prison while I was in the van it was a weird gas ball flying out the prison and it didn't look like those white lines that you showed
