This is Why Sound Sensors are ACTUALLY GOOD in Phasmophobia!

Welcome back to Phasmophobia! In this video we test everything you need to know about sounds sensors! It turns out that they are actually quite useful on a handful of maps. However, because they take quite long to setup, especially on the larger maps, you shouldn’t use sound sensors if going fast is your main priority. I still think that it’s cool to know how to properly use sound sensors because they are a really fun alternative way to find the ghost room. I hope you enjoy! Much love and see you during the streams 😀

  1. imagine if the "tripod" seen on the video they released were actually "legs" of the sound sensors. Like when you click a button on the side of the screen, it gives you the layout of the map. Then you click whatever room you want the sound sensors to go and after you click it, they automatically crawl towards that room like spiders lmao xD but as a drawback, you can only move them twice since the batteries on their "legs" will ran out hahahahaha

  2. I really want the sound sensors to be useful because like your previous video trying to play in the most immersive way, the sound sensors really add to that.
I don't know if you should be able to supply more and/or make them cheaper?

  3. I think the new sound sensors will be mostly like the old ones, just unable to be put on walls, but will be in the center of its coverage (similar to what it is now when placed on the ground)

  4. A bit off topic from the sound sensors, but I actually like the laughing child girl ghost. Imagine if CJ adds a kid sing for the music box when the ghost is the kid body. 🤔🤔

  5. I like this game, but it’s hard to stay motivated to play it when the last major content patch was in October or December, depending on if you count cursed possessions

  6. Insym learning to use sound sensors.
    The chat: Pog
The devs: Room name bug reports incoming.

Btw, why is high school upstairs left and right corridor but downstairs is left and main?

  7. On multiplayer, sound sensor shows your friends locations in real time from the truck. Like a full on dot on the map, so if you have your friends with head cams. You can be real surveillance on the van lol

  8. Insym five videos: WHO EVEN USES SOUND SENSORS LOOK HERE I'LL TRY THEM AS A JOKE wait are they actually good I'm going to use them again WAIT THEY'RE ACTUALLY GOOD??? (makes a video about how they're good)

Honestly I'm so glad you're enjoying them. They're so fun. Check them out on multiplayer.

  9. Sounds sensors depend on the size of the map, honestly. Because the sounds sensors area never changes size, it's going to cover that exact size every time. Look for hot spots and set them up so they cover more than one room at a time.

  10. If you go to place the sensor over the map in the van and look at the transparent place-marker, that seems to be the size of the coverage on the map when you place it. So when the map is small on the van wall then is has a larger coverage when placed inside.

  11. Hey I have a question that the wiki couldn’t answer, often when my group places more than one of these it just has them shoot to high, so we can never tell where the ghost is.

Is there a way to read these when they all show noise?

I dunno if its normal- but unless the Twins (or Mimic) are a possibility, the ghost that laughs most around me when hunting tends to be the Demon- so when I hear the laughter and it wasn't fast enough for a Rev, I immediately went with Demon. (first ghost). It is the little 'personality' quircks that tended to help me solve it even more so than evidence. Often the ghosts were refusing to give me any evidence before the updates (or giving the wrong evidence (yes, actually had ghosts supplying evidence that was not on their checklist who were not Mimics) and it was their personality during play that made me think something was wrong even before I'd get the confirmation at the end results.

Now it's harder because so many of the 'traits' have been tinkered with to the point where I am having to relearn every ghost over again and am relying more on the evidence (which I don't trust after having them give me the wrong evidence so many times- or literally only being given one piece) than on the personality traits…

I am one of the weird ones I guess though- I actually enjoyed and preferred having those traits to piece together over gathering the evidence. XD

  13. Placing them close to each other is OPPOSITE of how you use them efficiently. All you have to do is look at your map to see their sensor proximity, they don't seem to "face" a particular direction like you are playing they simply have a zone. So overlapping sensors that you look for contrast in just doesn't make sense in a very deductive and general way, isolating them would directly accent the variation you are looking for and also give them a different nametag.

  14. Yo INSYM i hope you see this. Youre awesome. However ive noticed if you crouch walk with the cursed object itll stop your forward movement after a second. Idk why but its a bug cj might want to know about.

  15. I just realise looking back to vids where I'm in the chat: I always read chat on screen and listen to Insym, I don't really watch the gameplay LUL

    I don't remember that much.
