I actually saw that you used this trick to rule out ghost in a while, but I never learned how to do it properly so this video taught me how to do it right
to fix the roaming bug they probably made ghosts 10x less active so now they roam the normal amount

It would be pretty sweet if once a week or so they took a random ghost and turned it up a notch to be a little more crazy. Say the myling is even quieter or the oni more active or revenant not having such a significant speed penalty. Giving all ghosts the opportunity to be the top dog and a new experience every week. I'd imagine simply changing the numbers to tweak a ghost wouldn't pose too many issues and even if it did it would be reverted at the end of the week 🙂

I have also been having issues with nightmare a lot lately. Ghosts give only 1 evidence and I can't get anything else for the next 10-15mins so I eliminate what I can and make an educated guess. It makes you work a lot smarter but it is also frustrating to spend time and not get proper evidence.

My theory/fanstory on how every ghost type died, discretion advised as some might be more gruesome than others. Some details on the ghost's life may be seen inside along with their age. Apologies if these seem out of pocket but watching Saw and shit had me thinking.
Spirit: He was an amateur ghost hunter in his freetime but was killed by a rogue undiscovered ghost presumed to be another Spirit, aged 34.
Wraith: He had choked on some food that triggered an allergy and fell off of a balcony five stories high onto pavement, aged 29.
Poltergeist: He clumsily tried to grab a microwave from the top shelf of a storage market and was crushed when he lost grip, aged 30.
Phantom: Unknown, his body was found unharmed and unscathed in an alleyway, presumed he passed from a heart attack, aged unknown.
Banshee: She was defenestrated during a huge storm when her window was sucked from its hinges while spying on her crush, aged 24.
Jinn: He had a curse inflicted upon him when he unknowingly picked up a wizard's Tarot deck and drew The Hanged Man carelessly, aged 46.
Mare: He lost vision in his eyes after accidently hitting his head on a wall and proceeded to fall down a flight of stairs, aged 27.
Revenant: He had been carjacked and was stabbed a dozen times in the chest, the killer was not found, aged 58.
Shade: He had severe depression and in his anorexic state lost strength in his legs and fell, cracking his neck on his bedpost, aged 19.
Demon: She was kidnapped by a cult known as Hand of the Sand and was tortured by swallowing nails to "be purified," aged 40.
Yurei: He was ambushed by a previously disbanded Yakuza sect and was fatally beaten into a coma over bad blood, aged 28.
Oni: She had been alone in her basement lifting weights on a bench when her arms cramped and her weights crushed her neck, aged 21.
Yokai: Her home had experienced a carbon monoxide leak and she suffocated in her sleep while sleepwalking, aged 20.
Hantu: While carrying groceries into his home, he slipped on a frozen sidewalk and cracked his skull, found frozen on the sidewalk, aged 30.
Myling: His parents had abandoned him to get away from raising him, dumping him into a ditch where he was mauled by a bear, aged 13.
Goryo: He had made plenty of enemies while playing certain games and his home was swatted, he was shot by the officers, aged 18.
Raiju: He was practicing for a marathon for his cousin's charity when a stray bolt of lightning hit a utility pole beside him, aged 26.
Onryo: While working on an oil rig, an accident caused a huge blaze and when he was thrown overboard, he was crushed by containers, aged 33.
Twins: While trying to stop a thief in their home, the brother tried to grab the gun when it misfired striking the brother and sister in the heads, aged 10.
Obake: Was wrongfully executed via firing squad in a penitentiary for a crime he did not commit, another Obake was the culprit, aged 41.
Mimic: While acting out a magician's movie, the sword he was to use was in fact real instead of a prop and had impaled himself on it, aged 45.
Moroi: While walking his dog outside his mansion, a truck carrying pipes flipped and one pipe impaled his left eye through his head, aged 50.
Deogen: Missing her mother, she had tried to escape an abusive orphanage through a duct system and was sucked into a fan unit, aged 6.
Thaye: Was in an experimental top secret space mission testing an acceleration theory when her spacecraft lost power, aged 40 but was 79 in space.

as of now phasmo is like 20gb and i have been playing it since it was 6gb but with the new updates my pc can't run it very smoothly but i'm still happy to watch you insym
One often forgotten technique is also removing ghosts who didn't show guaranteed evidence. Like, if there isn't freezing, it can't be a hantu. I've seen many people fail to figure out a ghost because of that.
It is a little sad that the roaming bug is gone – I liked the ghost wandering more so that you had to work for getting evidence. It would be a nice touch to the game if the ghost changed rooms but less often than it used to with the bug. For example ghosts can change rooms maximum every 5 minutes, only on the floor they are on, and they higher the difficulty, the more often it is likely to actually swap rooms after 5 minutes

I had a nightmare wraith the other day and it gave only dots. I eventually ruled it out with the salt but it was a 20 minute game. Maybe it's just wraith things lol

Okay but jokes aside from the infomercial joke, I did became a professional phasmo player because of you! Everything I learned came from watching your videos and streams and applied them to my game play! Any time I see new players, the first thing I do is recommend your channels! You’ve been the most valuable asset (aside from the devs) for the phasmo community and I’m excited to see where the game goes next!

phasmo is definetely still bugged. almost every ghost i face (nightmare) gives only one evidence for 20 mins and also roams from room to room as well as from floor to floor all the time. then hunts from a room on the other side of the house. sad to see that after more than 1 1/2 years and about 2.000.000 purchases the game still works as programmed by amateurs
Question for you guys who are experienced with this game. I’m thinking of getting it and learning how to play. Should I get it now, or wait until the roaming bug/post patch issues are fixed? For context, I’ve never played it before, I’ve only watched videos so I’d be brand new to playing the game. I only know a little bit about how it works.

Wish there was a notes function. It would help to be able to add that the ghost is fast or something else a person in the group noticed before they died. Then the rest of the group would have a clue.
I never saw a board or music box it's always Tarot cards or Haunted Mirror.
I have to agree with you Insym, I been finding it much harder as of late to find what ghost it is. I have been jabated SOOO many times. Thanks for the tips, I hope to put them to good use.
