  1. EACH GOUST IS A CARD AND U NEED TO COLLECT THEM ALL .Doing a ghost in certain difficulties may give a different rarity's of a card like a gold version for nightmare mode (trophy system)

  2. These could be a fun way to add personality to a ghost! The cards have such distinctive meanings and quite a few of the Major Arcana are famous enough that even folks who aren't familiar with Tarot know the gist, so they could be used to give a player early warning/clues on a ghost's personality, behavior, intentions, etc.
    Example: the Fool, start of a journey, recklessness. The ghost roams a lot and is prone to doing ghost events. The Tower, a sudden upset or disaster. Ghost is really calm until you hit a sanity threshold and then goes NUTS.

  3. The tarot cards i think could reveal a new random secret buff and debuf based on the cards thats given to the ghosts at the start of the map. Say the death cards buff means it has a higher chance to hunt rather than do other events when your sanity is low but also has the fool card giving the debuff of having more trouble tracking the player or something along those lines. Using the cards in the ghost room would reveal which cards the ghost has been given as buffs/debuffs so you could look in the journal and see what each does. possibly even show a way to counter cards or deactivate some. cards could also be based on difficulty so on Amature the ghost have more debuff cards then scaling up to higher difficulties where on nightmare ghosts have more buff cards or something along those lines. i feel this would allow the more random aspects of a ghosts personality be known in a way sense their randomness would be more generated based on the cards rather than unknown hidden code factors. Do you think this is a good idea?

  4. I think the tarot cards are an item like the voodoo dolls and oujia board. Similar use, there's a risk to activating them but they can potentially provide you with a big boon to your run.

  5. Theory: there's a chance for the cards to spawn just like the Luigi board around the map, the use of the card is that the player picks it up and if it's a hearted card it will give you some sort of an effect but if you get other shaped cards, you will be in a disadvantage

  6. Effect theories on Tarot Cards:

    1.) Time Limit – You now have 20-15-10-5 (Difficulty based) minutes until the ghost enters a permanent hunting state. ($20 base)
    2.) "One of these things is not like the others!" – You are given four pieces of evidence instead of three (or three on Nightmare). One of them is fake. ($10 base)
    3.) 0 Sanity – Self-Explanatory ($10 base)
    4.) Doomed Ghost Event – There is a random chance a ghost event will cause your death. ($30 base)
    5.) Exorcism – The ghost is removed from the map and can no longer hunt. No more evidence can be identified or bonus objectives completed. (Subtracts $50 from end of game total as no proof of ghost remains)
    6.) Insym Easter Egg – Ghost sound effects are replaced with Insym. No monetary bonus, but a fun easter egg

  7. It might help you figure out who the banshee is targeting, since it's tarot and might tell the immediate future of the player or like RTB said, maybe a way for the dead people still have a role during the game.
