Tricky! Slow and then not slow… what is it? | Phasmophobia

From the very beginning, this ghost felt a little slow. Not a lot slow – just a tiny bit slow. Then suddenly, we got a couple of hunts where the ghost felt just a tiny bit fast. Not super fast – but just a little bit fast. Sorry the clips aren’t better to show this as my teammates couldn’t help but keep saying what it was over and over. That kind of ruins the fun of having people guess what it is. 🤣 And to be fair, I said a few times it was a Myling because we kept getting Mylings that behaved like other ghosts. This one however, is not a Myling – no matter how much joking about it I did. This one is a Twin. The first hunt was the slow twin and the second was the fast twin. It’s hard to tell that they are slightly fast or slightly slow unless you luck out and get one back to back. Then it’s easier to see. But compared to the speed of normal ghosts, it’s really not that much different.

Remember, gaming should be fun!

  1. That should be Twins. Slow Twin first and then fast Twin second. Or a Moroi that cursed you, resulting in it being faster the next hunt. Jinn seems unlikely as it was slow the first hunt and too slow for the second. Or it is just a tricky Mimic.

  2. The fact that you've got firelights everywhere instead of just turning the lights on suggests the breaker is off or broken, in which case the Jinn's ability doesn't work, so rules it out as a possibility. It's not slow enough to be a Revenant, and it seemed to speed up with line of sight, which rules out Thaye and Hantu. That pretty much leaves Twins or Moroi as options. From the audio it sounds like you guys have been in there waiting for hunts for quite a long time, so I'd expect your sanity to be very low if not completely gone, which would make the Moroi extremely fast. So on balance of probabilities, I'd say this is the Twins.
