  1. Ambient light in the dark has been nerfed so much in this update.
You need in-game brightness 4.0 to start with, and then +1 gamma from your display driver settings.
Bloom due to the player character's shoulder light bouncing off T1 SB or T1 EMF (I didn't check the other items yet) can help you see objects right in front of you. The video camera's night vision mode actually produces a visible faint light with my new crazy display settings.

Previously I had in-game brightness 2.0 and +0.7 display gamma

note on gamma: the + means add this number to the default gamma value. my display gamma defaults to 1.0 so I change it to 2.0

  2. 12:37 TYPICAL TAKING A SHIT REACTION ALL THE FUCKING TIME! It's impossible to keep a straight face when you are anticipating the worst that might happen, which is the door getting shut in your face and you are trapped with the ghost.

  3. 22:30 You died due to door holding. This still lights you up like you're yelling into your mic with a flashlight on. Ghost homes in on you. Still not the best hiding spot, but door holding turns mediocre hiding spot into a death trap.
