What is the Strongest Ghost in Phasmophobia? – Ghost Tier List 2022

Welcome to the updated Phasmophobia Ghost Tier List! It’s been a long time since I’ve done a tier list, the last time I did it there were only 14 ghosts, now there are 21! Phasmophobia has also changed a ton, this includes both gameplay changes and changes to the ghosts themselves. This tier list is quite different from the first one! Do you agree with my rankings? I hope you enjoy! Much love and see you during the streams 😀

  1. Rework Ideas :

Obake : after leaving unique fingerprint , it has a high chance to instant hunt with 1 sec grace period ( for being more dangerous and not too easy to see the fingerprint every time ) .

Banshee : Change the power to having hallucinations . so you get fake hunts or fake ghost events that doesn't drain sanity , and make real hunts and ghost events to drain twice as much and make the threshold for hunt 70% sanity and each of crucifixes will have only 1 charge against him instead of two .

Hantu : having something that generate heat like candle or any electrical equipment or lights being on ( or even number of players in room ) angers him and makes him hunt and he can speed up twice faster than normal ghost would ramp up .

Phantom : Can start a hunt in other rooms nearby the ghost room ( the next room for example or if the ghost is in right storage in basement it can decide to hunt from left storage instead ) .

Revenant : Agree with what you said .

Shade : For the love of god just delete this ghost😂 .

Spirit : Smaller hit box for smudge sticks and also smudge sticks will have a notification in book that they applied to ghost or not ( Annoying that you wont know for sure when it applied or you missed it ) .

Wraith : It is flying , it wont ever step in the salt , never , but will get noticeably more active near salt piles ( like each salt pile increase the chance of activity by 5-10% ).

Yurei : when it uses its ability , it will make hunt noises without blinking the flashlights and lights or it can make no sound and just blinking lights ( for being more creepy and confusing ) .

Let me know what you think about these ideas !

  2. I think the way to categorize mimic is would be the average of all ghosts, so lets assign points to all the tiers, D being 1, C being 2 and so on, then we divide by the total number of ghost and then according to the closest rounding we assign it the tier. The mimic is only as strong as the entire games catalogue of ghosts can be. So i think this would be fair.

  3. I got an idea for the banshee. Why not make it early hunt (60% sanity) and give it a speed boost when it's target is in it's line of sight? (Similar to the revenant, but only when it sees that specific player) it could be a nice way to make it a little bit more dangerous and more fun in general.

  4. I think it'd be pretty cool for multiplayer if they added a ghost that starts pretty mediocre but would grow in power every time it kills a player. For example getting faster and/or being able to hunt more often for each kill

  5. I would love to see Rev buffed & Banshee reworked… but before we buff everything there is one caveat: I like that there are D-tier ghosts. I like that at the start of a mission, you might have a Shade or you might have a Demon or anything in-between, and it is up to you to figure out which before it is too late.

  6. Maybe for the Banshee initiating hunts team average sanity should be second priority with target sanity being prioritized along with activity/ghost events happening more frequently if the target is close. That would, in a way, give early hunts back to Banshees.

  7. Still gonna disagree with Mimic being A tier instead of S tier. While you may get games where the Mimic constantly chooses to copy a weaker ghost it still forces you to treat it as if it's something far more dangerous at all times. The Mimic even being an option for the remaining ghosts can force you to play more defensively just in case it actually does end up being a Mimic and it switches from shade tier garbage to a Raiju killing machine. You're forced to prepare for that possibility or you'll just die. Does it have games where it's weaker the whole time? Sure, of course it does. But it still forces you to respect the possibility of it being something far more dangerous.

  8. My idea to rework the Banshee:

Strength: Always senses your exact location, constantly making its way towards you during a hunt.

Weakness: Moves at a slower pace than usual (say, 75% of normal player speed, and does not speed up over time during the chase as other ghosts do).

Hidden Ability: Frequently teleports to players.

I like this idea because it adds a new and challenging factor to the equation in a different way than just being fast. The possibility of this banshee’s existence alone would act as an ever-present threat to your standard procedure of hiding, especially at the start of the game, until it has been ruled out. It also brings back looping ghosts around things, if even for just one type. Essentially, you can run, but you can’t hide.

    Like if you agree!
