  1. I do this thing called subscribing. Then I have my bookmark linked directly to my subscribed feed. So the only "recommended" I get is to the right of each video. I don't really see those though as I watch almost everything in theater or full screen. I don't like how Youtube works sooo…. I make it work for me as best I can. Also, thanks to your gaming vids, I am both terrified and excited to die in the mistlands – Valheim.
Best Phasmo video to date dude!

  2. I don't wait for my subscription videos to appear in recommended.
I always first go to subscriptions. Then when I'm done watching all of them, I go for recommended.

  3. This issue to be honest is not a big deal if people would just use the subscriptions menu so it will only show them all the videos from their subs when they want to see something other then random stuff on the home page. It's why I never miss a video uploaded by anyone I follow to this day.

  4. I get a notification to all your videos. Yes, I've seen that you played God of War Ragnarök, but I'm not interested in longer videos. I'm here for the skits, as mentioned sometime before. On another note, this channel is a rare exception for me since I comment on most of the videos (since a few weeks/months).

  5. I always go over my subscriptions every day to try and make sure shit like this doesn't happen -_- Of course this only works for new videos but I noticed if I don't do that I just miss SO MUCH CONTENT
and even doing THAT I miss stuff -_-

  6. This is why I like to go exploring through a creator's content and watch more of their vids. That's way I can get more of the videos cached into my viewing algorithm! It helps me see more of their content and it gets their vids more views!

  7. I totally get this and understand the problem. Buuut, I can't really blame YouTube or the "algorithm" or sub subbing or anything like that, because that system is designed to do exactly what it is doing and it's doing it well. I blame the attention span and/or memory of the viewers. I don't have any notifications on, and frankly when I DO get a notification for a video being posted or a live stream starting or whatever I get annoyed, even if I'll eventually watch that video and probably like it. For channels I sub to, I go to their page to look at recent videos they posted to see if I missed anything new. It probably helps that I sub to a variety of channels so the algorithm doesn't laser focus on one single keyword or game. And of course I have a different perspective as I'm just a viewer, not a creator, but I have had 0 problems seeing, finding, or watching videos from channels I like regardless of if I'm subbed to them. For example, I'm not even subbed to your channel(sorry btw but hey, a view > a sub anyway right?) and yet I'm here watching a new video because I searched for the channel and have recommended your videos to friends and shared them on discord. But anyway, I recommend everyone turns off notifications and shows real support and real love to the creators you like by remembering they exist and searching for them, instead of waiting for YouTube to decide what you'll like.
