The Mimic, the latest ghost added to Phasmophobia, has the potential to be truly terrifying. They can seemingly change which ghost they are mimicing throughout the mission, and this mission shows why they can be so scary and unpredictable.

  1. The Mimic feels like the "Ultimate Challenge" for now. The copies from strenght (and also weaknesses) from ghosts are scary as hell. He can trick you with so many things like early Hunt, Phantom blinking, fast Hunts or trick you with these ghost orbs. Even if you know that you are dealing with a Mimic you still dont know what he is doing out of his trickchest.

    I definitly love him.

  2. hey Nuzz! so I wanted to ask if you could test for a bug that happened to me and another wiki commenter.

So turns out, the wraith can hunt above 50% sanity. I've seen this happen before myself, and there is a comment I found on the wiki stating the same. I don't really know how or why, but it may have something to do with it's teleporting mechanic.
I'm absolutely 100% sure that it happened. I was standing in the doorway of edgefield, testing with the spirit box to see if it was a wraith or yokai, and then it hunted just as I asked the question. I then backed out of the door and checked the truck, only to see my sanity at ~65%. Naturally, I assumed it was yokai and left, but when I did, the game told me it was a wraith.
now, it could be a bug with the game's showing of the ghost type, but something like that would be everywhere on the internet by now, so I doubt it.

I'd love to see what you find (although this was before cursed possessions so keep that in mind)

    Love your vids
    Cheers

  3. I believe mimic needs a buff to make it scarier. Yea it can use traits from other ghost, but the evidence is very easy to get.

Maybe switch with a ghost that gives em5 or ghost writing to make the mimic harder to rule out.

  4. That's an Mimic with an identity crisis.
"What am I? Demon? Raiju? Obake? Oni? Twins? You know what, all of them." — Imagine having such an identity crisis that you even think that you are two entities at the same time (Twins).
