With the personality update, they should include "passive" or "friendly" ghosts that would be able to spawn, they would be very responsive, would have a little bit different ghost events and would rarely hunt and even if hunted would leave atleast 1 person alive. At the end of the mission you would have the choice to either pick the right type of the ghost and have them exercised in return of getting money (next time there would be a lower chance of encountering a friendly ghost) or pick the wrong type to save them and maybe get some souvenir, special item or award.

More Friendly Ghost´s?
I had a friendly ghost named Charles who wanted to just watch TV and there was never even a single hunt. Charles was an Oni. Whenever I turned the TV off, he would turn it back on.

I once asked a ghost if they were friendly and they said "yes". Didn't get hunted once that mission. The ghost was also super responsive when I asked questions. Almost didn't want to leave that one
got a friendly french ghost that kept saying non on the spirit box once . even thought were not talking to it and just idling chatting , it respond with multiple 'non ' sound

Once me and my friends were new at the game and all got to 0 sanity, with lots of item interactions but not one ghost event or hunt. It was a mare, and even when only 1 person was in the house with the lights out, screaming the ghost name and at 0 sanity the most it managed to do was throw items. It was really spooky because it was very suspenseful
I don't think they need to exorcise this one.

this guy is such an honestly chill nice guy, very calming and fun to watch his content. good stuff dude
