Someone asked me a few weeks ago to put together a guide on how to determine your ghost type if you are playing on Nightmare mode. If you’ve played nightmare mode, you know that you only receive two evidences and from there have to determine your ghost based on it’s behaviors. Well, this can be quite tricky. And since Phasmophobia has 21 ghost types… narrowing it down can be really difficult. Some ghost are a lot harder to determine than others (cough – Raiju – cough). But there a handful of ghosts that if you’re diligent, you can determine based on other qualities. A good example of this is the Obake. Once you know it doesn’t always leave fingerprints or that they disappear early or that it gives you a 6 finger print sometimes, then you can push for the ghost to give you one of those three evidences. So in this guide, I go through each ghost and attempt to give you my best tips to help you narrow your ghost down.

I just had an Oni that did the hiss. Although everything else i've ran into so far has been spot on. Guessed the ghost correctly on several occasions so far. Great video!
As of the latest update, the salt for a wraith trick, it seems to be bugged. Just played a game where it should have been a wraith but it ended up being a Mare.
Ghosts can also overload the breaker by turning on a light so u gotta watch out for that too with the jinn
For spirit we get sanity to around 0 or very low and smudge area and if it hunts before 3m in that area its not a spirit so u do it a couple times and if it always hunts after 3m and not before then its 99% a spirit since nightmare ghosts will hunt u almost cooldown to cooldown if ur at 0ish sanity

I've got the glitch on a nightmare today with Mimic. We're found 3 evidences, then we're choosed the Mimic, but it's showed the Hantu at end, what the freak was that, i still can't understand, sounds like nonsense, but for real, i don't know what was that lol ;D
I've never played phasmophobia since I don't have vr nor pc, I'm used to play the roblox versions of this game like specter, and Blair but this will help me when I start playing
Miss mistake on shade information : shade will actually hunt if he s alone in other room even if all 4 players are togheter

today i played with phasmophobia, and i was the only one survivor.
The ghost killed one player in the closet, second player in the hall, and the last player when i was in the van.
when i came back i just saw all of the bodies. I went to the toalett, bc that was his room, and i literally asked(without spirit box)
"which ghost are you".
and then i heard knocking.
Yes, knocking. i choosed poletergeist in the almanac, and after that the ghost was kind! He loved me im sure, he killed everyone expect me, and he dint hunted for me, and my sanity was unter 20%! I was in the house almost half an hour, talked with him in the spirit box. (he was very talkable). And before the leave, i made a photo of every dead body, turned off the lights, and leaved. That was my biggiest and crazyest game ever.
The most weird thing is, he always said to the spirit box "stay" but when i asked him last time, he said "leave", so i leaved. When i was going out of the door, i said "bye" to the spirit box then i leaved.
That was really cool, i wrote down his name, and i will never forget him!
