The slow injection is supposed to reduce the pain afterwards.
The shop is not hard to understand. It takes a bit to learn sure but once you learn it is easy.

I saw someone comment somewhere that 150% ghost speed is the same speed as Green Day's American Idiot if that helps figure out the speed
EDIT: Regarding the shop discussion, I think they maybe need to have three submenus, the current shop one, then a loadout one and then also an actual add/remove menu. Basically, have the loadout one only be for customising and playing with your loadout, then have the add/remove one be where you can either add/remove individual items, or you can add/remove your loadouts.
