Let's Play Phasmophobia – HEADPHONE WARNINGS GALORE!

It’s almost Spooktober, which means it’s time for spooky games! Aoife, Ian, and Zoe are delving into Phasmophobia today, a ghost-hunting game where the Eurogamer team’s mics can be used to speak to the ghosts themselves…or just scream at them in fright! This Phasmophobia gameplay will be full of yelps, so consider that a warning to any of you using headphones!

  1. "John, are you happy?"
Well, I think he is yes, I mean, three snacks stepping into his house at once, seems like Christmas day for John Anderson XD

That was a great video, as always.

  2. Zoe was way too loud and I could barely hear Ian or Aoife. Ian and Aoife are generally very quiet and Zoe is loud, so it needs to be balanced out. Zoe's volume needs to be lowered and the other two need to be higher up.

  3. I think all the players need to find a way to record streams and post them afterward, because only seeing things from one persons view means we're missing out on a LOT. Like Aoife seeing the ghost right behind Ian and Zoe.

  4. I'm guessing you've learned this now but:

All ghosts cause cold temperatures and EMF but most don't go into full freezing negative degrees or EMF level 5.

So, as soon as you get EMF Level 5, you can drop the EMF reader because that's all the evidence you need. But if you don't get EMF level 5, keep it around because it might pop to 5 later. EMF also tends to go off around stuff the ghost has touched, so if a phone rang or water went dirty or a door closed, then you could find EMF around that.

Cold temps happen mostly in the ghost room but without the thermometer it's hard to tell…there's a visual sign for freezing temps because your breath frosts up, but having the thermometer helps find the ghost room and then you can drop it in the ghost room to make room for more kit.

The crucifix only works when you place it on the ground…it creates a 3 meter radius of effect where, if the ghost tries to start a hunt, it is stopped. The crucifix can do this twice and then it will disappear…with no visual clue, so if you dropped a crucifix maybe keep an eye on it to see if it's still there. Larger rooms may need more than one crucifix to cover.

  5. When other players die their ghosts can be nice….but all the ghosts you're hunting are violent and homicidal. Hence why they're being removed.

Here's the fun part, you're the advance team whose job is identify what kind of ghost it is…the people with actual spiritual powers come in later and use your report to deal with it.
