  1. Alright I don't know if it's changes recently, but the wraith does touch the ground. It is rare, but it says almost never. If you hear footsteps for a few seconds and then silence for the rest of the hunt, there's a very good chance it's a wraith. Of course, this is only really helpful on smaller maps so you can clearly hear the steps, but it can be super helpful too!

  7. Man I remember this one demon match I had with some friends. Someone put max difficulty and we loaded into the map. The first person that stepped within not even a second, they died. Then 2 people went, and it was an immediate hunting mode, they both died. Since I was the only one left, I just said screw that and guessed demon. It was correct, but damn I will never forget that match.

  10. here are some extra tips that my friends and i found out if anyone is interested. everything here is info that i haven't been able to find anywhere else online and have simply figured out on my own w/ my friends.

    1. tip for onis:
    stealing their stuff and bringing it outside the house or just moving objects from their room to another place will also get them to hunt.
    story time: we were hunting an oni and the last objective was the crucifix one and this oni just would refuse to hunt despite us trying to call it's name in a group or leaving one person in the room to call its name and taunt it. so we tried stealing all its stuff from its room as well as stuff from the entrance like shoes, books, candles etc. while saying its name and taunting it and it progressively started to get more angry. after the first hunt, it hunted two more times when we would barely take one step in the house. that's how we figured out moving stuff around really pisses it off.

    2. tip for poltergeist:
    if it happens to be in a room where there's not a lot of stuff around it will be less active, so moving objects from another room into the ghost's room will trigger more activity and make it move things around.

    3. tip for voodoo dolls:
    there are usually three voodoo dolls in the farmhouse.
    taking a pic of all three voodoo dolls together right next to each other gives you the most money with the voodoo dolls rather than taking a pic of them individually. so pick up each voodoo doll and drop them on the ground next to each other before taking a picture. just don't take the voodoo doll outside of the house unless you want to seriously piss the ghost off.

    4. tip for jinns:
    if you're on a big map like the asylum or highschool and the circuit breaker is too far away, just turn on every single light that you come across as fast as possible until you short circuit the power.

    5. tip for when a friend is trapped in the house during a hunt and you're outside:
    messing around with the front door and calling its name will attract the ghost towards you instead of your friend. just be as much of a noisy nuisance as possible. be careful tho bc i've been killed through the front door if i was too close to it.

    6. tip for flashlights during a hunt:
    i see a lot of youtubers turn their flashlight off during a hunt. now i'm not too certain about this one but as far as i can tell, keeping your flashlight on during a hunt doesn't attract the ghost. its more interested in noise. but again, i'm not completely sure about this one so please feel free to correct me.

    7. ghosts going through closed doors:
    maybe this was a glitch, but i've watched a ghost walk (it actually crawled on the ground like a freaking spider, it was creepy as hell) through a closed door in the room i was hiding in and kill me. and it wasn't a wraith. the only thing i can think of to explain this other than it being a glitch is that the ghost saw me go into the room and close the door, making it able to get inside since it knew where i was.
    so just make sure to lose line of sight of the ghost before hiding behind a door to be on the safe side.

    so far that's all the tips that i've been able to figure out along my journeys. hope this info helps anyone who's interested in reading it. please feel free to add any of your own tips.

  12. I was playing this match with two of my friends who had never played before. I had been playing for about a week and had gotten cocky since I’ve barely ever physically seen a ghost. The ghost was in the basement in the 6 bedroom house and I will never forget seeing him stand there at the bottom of the stairs. One friend was in front of me (we were walking down the stairs) and the other was already in the basement. The ghost was a Jinn and was just standing there guarding his terf. I was so shocked and my newbie friend infront of me asked why our other friend looked like that…. let’s just say I was the only one who made it out alive.

I was playing with a friend and he left me in the ghost's room when he went to watch the camera, we already had EMF 5 and spirit box and I saw a coffee cup flying across a room so I knew it was an Oni. Then suddenly the light turns on and off, so I hide in the closet because I'm freaking out at this point, my friend that is watching the camera screams and I see a glimpse of a face in the crack of the door. I was freaking out, but I wasn't scared to the point of screaming so I ask my friend why did he freak out like that, and he tells me that a 7-foot tall guy covered in blood with a machete appeared right behind me when I was getting into the closet, and then faced the direction of the camera when I hid. It's like he knew somebody else was watching. We finished the mission and I alt f4ed out of the game and spent the rest of the evening watching My Little Pony.

  17. ANOTHER TIP
    If you get a ghost writing with demonic symbols, there's a higher chance of the ghost being a demon. It won't always be a demon, but I have noticed a correlation.

  25. 2 of my friends and I were playing this, saw my friend die on the 2nd floor hallway, all the lights turned off and myself and the other player went into the truck to get more gadgets and check the cameras, our friends body starts walking around the house, so of course we went into the house thinking wtf and our friend was just facing a corner in the kitchen. The ghost started hunting and our friends body turned around and started chasing us around the house in crouch mode then randomly falling in a different area facing a corner. Really weird experience even followed us to the truck but didn’t enter the truck just walked backwards facing us and entering the house.Of course I thought my friend was pulling our leg so I just went into the house and started provoking until I died and our friend was in the spirit realm following the ghost around and was waiting for us to pick what we thought it was.. hella freaking weird.

  26. I'm confused on the possession part, I saw instances when people were playing and then their friend basically had a duplicate ? that just-walks around , is that not a phantom possession?

Haven't played the game a ton, but me and a buddy got a Spirit that decided to be basically a reverse Banshee… once it got going, it would get real active whenever I or nobody was in the house, even manifesting a few times, but if only my buddy was in the house, it would go almost entirely silent like it was afraid of him. At first we thought it was a Banshee that had targeted me, it was refusing to give any evidence, including refusing to talk on the spirit box or write in the book, despite throwing the latter around several times, and we were dumb and managed not to get any EMF readings (at all, not even level 2) or find fingerprints. We didn't find out it was a Spirit until we got back to the lobby.

  37. Can you identify a ghost when the task whiteboard tells you that whether it responds "alone" or "everyone"???

    This got me thinking, since shade is quite shy and introverted that prefers to respond to anyone alone, or an all-out super agro demon that is ready to hunt at all time probably doesn't care when you are alone or with a team

  40. Just a question, a friend of mine told me that Ghosts responds to songs. He told me that Baby shark song was the annoying one and annoys the ghost. He told me that he watched a Thailand youtuber who had a friend that try to sing Baby shark and a hunt immediately starts.

I was playing a game once, on the one story house with a basement, idk the name but me and my friend started at the front and worked our way to the garage, where the ghost manifested itself and hit emf 5, the emf 5 was in the room between the kitchen and garage and like 2 steps into the garage. So I naturally assumed it was in the garage or the small room. We bring all of our stuff and for 10 minutes we get literally nothing. Somehow nobody checked with a thermometer, but the ghost was in the front bathroom. Not even close to the garage. Also I forgot to type this in the order it happened but my friend got out his ghost writing book right after it manifested at the start and set it on a shelf. It had writing immediately which was weird, and freaked us out. That is also one of the reason we though the ghost was in garage, but it turns out the ghost just wrote in the book while it was in my friends pocket. Sorry this is rambling, probably doesn't make sense, but it was weird
