Phasmophobia – Every Weather Effect On All Maps

In this video I’ll be showing you the new weather effects on every map. The new weather system changes both the atmosphere and some elements of gameplay – where different weather effects can affect temperatures, hearing and visibility.

  1. I love and hate fog cause because of him i can't see nothing on camera (especially orbs) but in other site i love it because of him i don't need flashlight to see interior ( for example in high school i can clearly see the left corridor being on the right side)

  2. I was hoping to find out more on how the weather effects gameplay.
I already learned that fog makes it impossible to use night vision on video cameras.
And rain makes it so you can’t use lighters on the campsite map.

  3. Snow is definitely the most aesthetic of the different types of weather.

Fog is actually quite useful. Sure, it makes viewing things on a video camera hard, but you can actually navigate through houses without the need of a flashlight.

  4. I'd love to see power outages during strong wind and heavy rain weathers where the breaker and all electricity would shut down for several seconds then come back to normal. I'd also love that ghost activity could be slightly increased during heavy rain weather because it's well known that electromagnetic fields are increased during thunderstorms, making ghosts more active.

  5. 3 new weather ideas, heavy storm, similar to heavy rain, but it has the bonus of having heavy wind with it and lightning strikes much more often, its unique effect is that it adds a chance for the breaker to go out, essentially doubling the chances of the breaker going out
Heavy snow, makes it so every you go is freezing temps (actual freezing temps will have an even lower temp btw), the only way to detect a ghost room is with a thermo or activity cause every room has breath until you turn on breaker (edit, of course this one is possible to work around with a breaker)
Heat wave, you can tell by the sky being much more clear then normal, it makes it so everything is higher in degree/celsius, including freezing temps, ghost rooms will be around 20 on the thermo, and freezing will be 6-10 with no breath

  6. I believe they made the right choice in adding no weather to asylum. The way the map is made, it is designed around feeling alone and isolated. There is no walk to the building, and you can't really look out the windows either. Even the walls themselves have an unnatural cave-like look to them, which paired with the fact that you only ever travel down, and not up (since the highest point in the map is the van), it makes it feel like you are trapped underground far from the outside world. I love this aesthetic, and it is one of the reasons Asylum is my favorite map. Weather would shatter the illusion and break that foreboding atmosphere the map has (especially fog, since fog is basically just an under-appreciated cheat code to see in the dark).
