In this video I’ll be showing you the new weather effects on every map. The new weather system changes both the atmosphere and some elements of gameplay – where different weather effects can affect temperatures, hearing and visibility.

i hate fog with all my heart. like give me any weather. don't give me fog.
There are a few ghost interactions in the video… can you find them all?
thanks for the help!
Nice
I love and hate fog cause because of him i can't see nothing on camera (especially orbs) but in other site i love it because of him i don't need flashlight to see interior ( for example in high school i can clearly see the left corridor being on the right side)
Thanks for the facta please heart mu comment
Loving the videos so far!
Snow feels like Christmas…very peaceful
I hate the fog, some evidence cant be seen that much
I have seen so many people saying that the fod inside the house was a bug, and reported it cause they couldnt see…
i know a lot of people hate fog, but i love it for smaller maps, it make no flashlight runs so much easier
I like the snow 🥺💕
I like heavy rain and snow. Rain it's so relaxing. Snow it's just beautiful. 🌨️☔
Nice Video! <3
Honestly snow is a huge pain on maple lodge. It can be easily mistaken with ghost orb ngl
I was hoping to find out more on how the weather effects gameplay.
I already learned that fog makes it impossible to use night vision on video cameras.
And rain makes it so you can’t use lighters on the campsite map.
Snow is definitely the most aesthetic of the different types of weather.
Fog is actually quite useful. Sure, it makes viewing things on a video camera hard, but you can actually navigate through houses without the need of a flashlight.
I enjoy the raining and the high winds. Makes a much creepier atmosphere. But the snow and clear weather are beautiful and peaceful.
I'd love to see power outages during strong wind and heavy rain weathers where the breaker and all electricity would shut down for several seconds then come back to normal. I'd also love that ghost activity could be slightly increased during heavy rain weather because it's well known that electromagnetic fields are increased during thunderstorms, making ghosts more active.
I hope Asylum in the future can get an exterior so we can have weather on there too.
Can't wait for the climate tier list
With this update I find it makes ghost orbs nearly impossible to find, maybe im just bad though.
Didn’t know I was going to be treated to an ASMR video. Love it!
I love the weather where you don't get killed by a ghost right away. I was at the camp site and i finally get over to the cabin and right when i walk the stairs i get killed.
ive never realized how big tanglewood backyard is
Sadly fog is the worst addition for the indoor maps because it doesn't make sense for fog to be all over the place in houses.
Does the snowy weather make the hantu even deadlier?
3 new weather ideas, heavy storm, similar to heavy rain, but it has the bonus of having heavy wind with it and lightning strikes much more often, its unique effect is that it adds a chance for the breaker to go out, essentially doubling the chances of the breaker going out
Heavy snow, makes it so every you go is freezing temps (actual freezing temps will have an even lower temp btw), the only way to detect a ghost room is with a thermo or activity cause every room has breath until you turn on breaker (edit, of course this one is possible to work around with a breaker)
Heat wave, you can tell by the sky being much more clear then normal, it makes it so everything is higher in degree/celsius, including freezing temps, ghost rooms will be around 20 on the thermo, and freezing will be 6-10 with no breath
I just don't understand why its foggy inside the houses I hope they change that. I enjoy it outside tho
Clear Skies is the best, because my potatoe cant handle the others with more than 70fps…
Can you re-do this seeing how the heavy rain got a change?
Snow is the absolute best
Any new weather on highschool for me FPS = Ded. I know I have an ancient PC but come on man, it used to run at 100fps+ before the patch
The ghost in Grafton wanted to say hi XD
Fog also makes Night vision completely impossible to do.
I believe they made the right choice in adding no weather to asylum. The way the map is made, it is designed around feeling alone and isolated. There is no walk to the building, and you can't really look out the windows either. Even the walls themselves have an unnatural cave-like look to them, which paired with the fact that you only ever travel down, and not up (since the highest point in the map is the van), it makes it feel like you are trapped underground far from the outside world. I love this aesthetic, and it is one of the reasons Asylum is my favorite map. Weather would shatter the illusion and break that foreboding atmosphere the map has (especially fog, since fog is basically just an under-appreciated cheat code to see in the dark).
