Hooray for the new map. But god make the crucifix easier to use. Like it works if you hold it or it protects the whole room it is put in. Just see how big are the maps are; what the point of an item that protects you if it doen't protect you half the time…. Plus the game currently, is more annoying than scary; a real hunt simulator/hide an seek: you don't lead a proper investigation, you pass the time hiding away especially if banshee or demon.
I would really like to see new equipments, there are 6 listed on trello, hope they gonna be develloped and added soon. Plus more ambiance/ scary additions like the listed shadows on windows or mirrors. Maybe seeing the ghost in humanoid mist form or looking like a willow-o-wisp. The big con of this game to me is the ghost interactions: Only painting falling/item moved or breath sound in your face. I would like to see door locked with no reasons for a second, furnitures like chairs moving, windows opening, knock knock sound behind doors, even shadows figure passing through hallways.
For the map in itself, I like the design, it is an interesting take. Through I haven't spotted hiding places, saved myself two times from a demon hiding behind the car but have to check if there are lockers or closets. The rooms feels big and it is cool and welcoming I want to live here. But it makes me think that there should be a training difficulty available, to play on any map but with a ghost that never hunt. To help players familiarize about the place where are ouija spawns and so on.
This game is Improving. It's cool, but why the Hantu ghost? It is basically an inverted Djinn. There is no need of second ghost linked to breaker. It could be something inovative, like a ghost that don't show itself or hunt if you are using uv light, one that is afraid to appear/start hunting in one of your camera field of view or one that hate beeing near sensors. Or more exotic ones that make several room cold or that can spawn evidences all around.
To me here are the Pros and Cons of the game currently:
Pros:
1-Every game is unique because ghost room change, ghost behavior not always the same, bone and ouija has different locations, may hunt a lot or almost never, several maps.
2-A lot of tools to use to find and investigate the ghost all around the map, from sensors to torchs, passing by classic stuffs like spirit box or thermometer, and more to come.
3-A nice mechanic or earning lvl and money to buy stuff, but may be improved with more customization: Having a team name, modifying truck appearance, more avatar…
4-Correct game time, can be played any moment of the day as filler to have fun alone or with friends.
Cons:
1-Ghosts aren't ghosts but zombies that seems ripped from well known horror movies or games or highly inspired by common horror beliefs or stories. To me the eel mouth kid has nothing to do in this game and should be replaced. It is ghost hunting, not zombie or abobination hunting. The ghosts should be at least 50% opacity, currently look like pranks.
2-How some of the items works. The crucifix is a mess to understand and doesn't protect sufficient area, pretty useless at a point i do most of my games without it, and when the objective need it I don't even complete objective… crucifix should be reworked to protect the room it is in or working if you hold it. The sound sensors shoud emit signal/waves icons in the rough directions of the detected sound on the truck map, it would help to geolocalize ghost room if you put 3 of them at correct location. This isn't op, because you lose time to place them, then check truck, then move them if needed until finding room. Parabolic microcphone should indicate higher sound. The incoming night vision goggles should allow seeing orbs.
3-The numbers of items usable should be increased: I think especially about books (adding 2, 4 available instead of 2), tripod ( adding 1, 6 instead of 5), crucifix (adding 1; 3 instead of 2) and salt (adding 1, 3 instead of 2). Reasons: Big maps and corridors.
4-Not enough creeps factors. I have enough of having invisible man breath in my face (60% of interactions), I want to see shadows passing through house, seeing a willow wisp passing through a wall, a strange face in the mirror, ectoplasm, cry, whispers, traps, more weathers, thunderstorms….
