  1. I think it would be cool if the Thaye had the ability to speed up during hunts, but loses that in a later stage. So at its weakest state it is still very weak, and there's a big incentive to get the ghost to stage 3 (or whatever).

  2. I dont think my comment got seen on the other video- so ill say it here on the newer video.
So i might have found another secret moroi ability. I was playing a game where we instantly found an ouija board and after asking 1 question it spelt unreadable jiberish and then instantly broke after answering the next question correctly. We had been in the game for about 30 seconds. And given the options i took a guess at moroi knowing how it effects sanity, and my guess was correct 🙂 ive never seen anything like that happen before in my hundreds of hours playing.

  3. Idk man, I still feel like they did the Thaye dirty 🙁
It's still completely loopable after its first slowdown and even at its max speed it's very avoidable. Even at 70% sanity it rarely hunts early enough unprovoked to even get the top speed. I think they should give it atleast Revenant speed for its first stage, and the 2nd one fast enough to not be easily loopable. Also make it speed up while it has eye contact with the player until it reaches one of it's weak stages.

  4. I had a game when the Thaye was first added where I entered Willow, picked up tarot cards immediately pulled 1 wheel of fortune red, and it hunted immediately. and zipped right to me in my hiding spot…thought it was a deogen with it finding me immediately like that….So my santiy was whatever 100 – Red Wheel of Fortune is…still was nuts if it popped off immediately

  5. If I'm using the right numbers (1.6 m/s walk, 3.0 m/s sprint, 3 second sprint, 5 second cooldown) that should work out to an average player speed of about 2.125 m/s. It seems like you can loop ghosts that are faster than that, though, suggesting that a player can take significantly better movement lines than the ghosts.
I wonder if the devs are relying too much on the speed values and not looking closely enough at how much better of a line players can potentially take vs. the AI pathfinding. I also wonder how much better some players are than others at running around corners efficiently, since they obviously don't want to focus too much on what the games plays like for the most skilled players.

  6. I'm figuring that, from the Thaye's perspective, interlopers must be an endlessly frustrating experience.
"You'll never get away from me unless you start speed walking! IT'S UNHEALTHY! DON'T EVEN START!

    '(Every single time, man…)"

  7. Insym, you do realize the Thaye has one final stage past what you saw right? It goes to 15% Sanity hunting point, and loses a measly 0.1 m/s value. That is the final stage, and is so small a difference, most people don't even notice it.

  8. adding on to what papa insym was saying with how the ghost wants to keep the players out of their room, if that's the intent behind the Thaye it's such a cool touch of personality i think all the ghosts deserve 🔥

  9. Actually, to meet Thaye altogether with Ouija, you need around 660 games (with this number of attempts there is a 99% probability to meet her there once).

So I recommend everyone to ask age first whatever the ghost is. I have burned a couple of boards doing this, though:)

  10. Insym, next time you find a Thaye, do a chat poll and ask chat how they think Thaye should be pronounced, and go with that. Can't make everybody happy, but we can be fair!

Personally, I find saying it like "they" but with more emphasis on the "th" syllable is easiest.
"Thigh" can either sound like something dirty or… fried chicken.

  11. What's important to remember though is that just because a ghost seems "weak" to an absolute pro solo player like you, Insym, who has thousands of hours in the game and knows basically everything about the game, doesn't mean it's weak to the majority of other players. Even here you're only able to loop it because you make 100% sure to be prepared for a hunt before it happens, but if you slipped up and it caught you off guard or in a spot where you couldn't loop it? You'd be dead. And most other players (even your viewers who gain a lot of knowledge from watching you) would not be nearly as prepared to handle these ghosts in practice. Trust me, I know from my own experience. Fortunately, I think the devs do understand this and try to be fair about balancing for everyone and not just the dedicated higher level players, and hopefully everyone can get the right level of challenge they're looking for in the custom difficulty update!

  12. I got a question insym. Are there some ghost that will be colder then other. What I mean by this is that are there some ghost that are often like -10 Celsius while other freezing ghost are like -5. In conclusion, are there ghost that are freezing but way colder then other freezing ghosts

  13. I'm so glad they did a hotfix for this ghost, but at the same time I'm terrified of it xD lol!
I love how there are so many asshats in the stream acting like big shots saying how the game cannot get any 'better' because so many 'weak willed' people play it, and aren't serious about learning how to play it properly. Imagine being that much of a loser irl that you think that 'being good at a game' is what makes you superior to others. Talk about a cry for help xD. Perhaps the most entertaining aspect of the streams imo; seeing losers go off like that.
ANYWAYS! The Thaye ghost is great, because of all that you've mentioned, especially how powerful it is. It's a hybrid that doesn't speed up when it sees you, but the Thaye has enough backing it that it doesn't need it. That's pretty cool.

My fav is the Deogen, simply because of how it slows down when it gets to you. I LOVE THAT! It's so fregin amazing. It finds you NO MATTER WHAT, but then when it gets to you is slow as molasses. That's just top notch. Couldn't have designed a better ghost myself. Sounds like a fregin freight train coming at ya, but then snails along when it's there. Brilliance.

  14. Think about this. Cursed Possessions? Holy Possessions!

Golden key = Unlocks door during a hunt
Holy Sphere = Stops a hunt instantly
Angelic Wings = Infinite speed boost for 10 seconds
Hand of God = Place on breaker to prevent it from ever going off
Holy Water = Splash at ghost (Acts as Smudge Stick)

    Maybe something on rare chance?
Lost Soul = Only visible with "Insert new equiptment" Escort to a holy circle. Light candles to free it. = More money at end of mission!

  15. I hope they make a silent/quiet ghost that has a hidden ability to teleport to a location (a specific radius away from a player) during a hunt. And it can activate the ability multiple times during a single hunt. That would make it truly terrifying to constantly be on the look out for the ghost and make looping almost impossible xD

  16. I had two Thayes today and they BOTH roamed a lot, unusually far. I wonder if its hidden ability relates to roaming, or following the player. Both Thayes also broke the lights, like this one did.
