THIS is How EACH GHOST Reacts to DOORS in Phasmophobia

All you need to know how ghosts react to doors in Phasmophobia. I will show tests of all the ghost types and how you can use doors to your advantage. As a bonus I also added 2 more tests with the Wraith in the end.

  1. It'd be really cool if he went on to do more game mechanics breakdown videos like these once he's gone through all the Phas content. Genuinely good content mate, super underrated channel. Keep up the good work ✊

  2. It's interesting to see that in wandering mode most of the ghosts seem to follow largely the same path in a given locale (in this case, the 2-story house). Is this true in each location in that there's a preset path(s) for the ghost to follow when no target has been acquired?

  3. Woah okay so closing doors is really good for LoS only huh, that's scary 😀 and with all the doors closed, did you notice a pattern on the behavior of the ghosts on which rooms they checked? A couple of them checked the bathroom upstairs on the right, but I'm thinking you've been in that bathroom that's why they check it even with the doors closed, same with the path the other ghosts took probably because you've been in those rooms? Or is it just really random?

  4. Thanks for these videos. A lot of your tests are well done. People have good intentions I'm sure, but a large portion of the gaming communities (not just phasmophobia) do not know how to test things properly. That's how crazy myths start (looking at you, acnh airport trick). Of the people that do test things properly, many don't know how to make a proper report of their findings nor do they know how to do a follow up, making their findings untrustworthy. It's even harder to test when the mechanics are largely RNG based. All in all, there's so much misinformation floating around phasmophobia. This is a good video showcasing the line of sight mechanics, good work.

While probably unintentional, you also kinda showed the direction of the line of sight. In the code, I think it says they draw a line facing forward and another line diagonally towards the left? You can see this in your revenant clip. Before the revenant completes its turn around the corner and completely faces towards you, it already sped up. Now I'm curious if the ghosts have a blind spot to their right side as I'm unsure if anyone has dug up any code about that.

  5. that was pretty disappointing. Ghosts should have at least a short memory, like if they just saw u in a spot and u disappeared they go there to check. Also.. isnt the wraith supposed to see through doors?

  6. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos! Really helps a lot. By chance, would you remember what your sanity was like during each of these tests? I’ve heard from someone that ghosts will ignore doors if you have 0% sanity and in line of sight. Also, do the doors have to be closed completely, like when you hear the click?
