I Used to Think This Challenge was IMPOSSIBLE! – Phasmophobia ORIGINAL Version

Welcome back to the ORIGINAL version of Phasmophobia! We are playing on the 2020 release version today! I have so many fond memories playing this game back in the day! I was so bad but it was so fun! I remember thinking that a No Evidence challenge was almost impossible! Little did I know there was so much more to learn! Let’s go back in time and see if we can do this “impossible” challenge!

  1. Sometime i want to go back to the old version where i can see the ghost clearly during a ghost event, hearing some random footstep when we search the ghost room, looping the ghost with so much fun, and also ghost writting something like a demonic sigil or sign than just a scratch or words. Thank you Insym, i feel nostalgic when seeing this 😢

  2. I think it was scarier back then partially because we were so new to the game but partially because the "jankiness" of it all made it weirdly creepier. Today's phasmo is amazing and I love it but like a lot of those indie one-off horror games that are janky graphics and controls there's just something about that that adds to the creepiness

  3. You should do a mode where you have another player hide all the tools throughout any map and then let the ghost kill them and from then on you have to find the tools to be able to use them and obviously figure out what the ghost is. Probably would work best in a big map.

  4. I do kind of miss how the whole house would be affected during the hunt. It definitely added more to the suspense especially in larger maps. I wish they would implement like a slight flicker in the map during hunts. Something maybe not as noticeable if you're walking around but if you're paying attention enough you'll notice. Maybe a slight tremor so you can hear some items in the house shake.

  5. One thing I realized when you were reading the description for tangle wood, it states to gain as much info as you can for the ghost removal team, so makes me think and hope if they add like 2 modes to phasmo where you can play as a ghost remover and already know the ghost but each ghost has something weird to catch and exorcise them idk im just brain fart thinking

  6. Something I noticed you haven't done since playing the OG version, remember how you could look at the Objective board to see if the ghost you chose was indeed correct before the loading screen even hit? I wanna see you do that again 😛

  7. 18:12 Except back then you could easily tell ghost events apart because your flashlight/electronics didn't bug out around them as they did in hunts. Now they do. So the audio cues that come with the ghost events are kind of necessary. And even with those audio cues, the new ghost events are terrifying for people that don't play this game every day and have hundreds or thousands of hours in it. Because it takes a while to get used to calming down and listening for them. If they took those away while keeping the current visuals to the events, I think the game would just feel frustratingly cheesy because you'd always have to assume a ghost event was a hunt and miss out on photo opportunities. And I do think the visuals matching hunts is overall more scary than quiet ghost events. So I think ghost events are fine how they are now.

I think this is just a case of you appreciating the novelty of something different from what you're used to since you play this game so often. But your experience is probably the last one that should be used for calibrating the game 😀 I'm not sure there's anyone that has as many hours in this game as you. lol
