The Ghost Name Challenge is IMPOSSIBLE – Phasmophobia

Welcome back to Phasmophobia! In this video we do a challenge we have only done once before, the ghost name challenge. In this challenge the amount of vowels in the ghost name determines how many random items you will have. Let’s hope we get some very long names… I hope you enjoy!

  1. What if you did a name challenge where the letters in the name decide what you can use, like if you have a name with a p in it, you can use, photo cam and parabolic mic. And visa versa, if there’s no v in the name, you can’t use video cam.

  2. The Butterfingers challenge: When the ghost hunts or spooks you (ghost event), You panic and drop the item you're holding on the ground. It falls and breaks and you can not touch that item ever again- you will need a new one

  3. Y is a vowel (in English) if:
1 – There are no other vowels in the word (gym, my)
2 – The letter is at the end of a word OR a syllable (candy, bicycle, acrylic, Holly)
3 – If the letter is in the middle of a syllabe (system)

  4. That first game is completely the same as something I've seen before! Idk if it's intended, but Shades seem to interact with candles insanely often, so it might not be part of their lowered chance to do things. The same Shade I had fucking up 4 candles constantly on a hallway also did ghost events a bit too often. It's feels like a weird edge case where onryo and shade somehow have similar behavior under specific and weird conditions.

  5. The letter Y is technically not a vowel because it doesn’t exclusively make a vowel sound although it can be used as a vowel sometimes. So it depends on if your referring to the vowels or any letter that makes a vowel sound.

  6. Y is a vowel when it’s put in place of or replacing a vowel, ie in Psychic or Physical it’s a vowel because it’s replacing the letter I. In Way, or Yellow it’s not a vowel because it’s not actually replacing a vowel.

  7. Insym “y” never is vowel bro xD
In the names like Holly, it could be Hollie as well. But if you go for the sound of letter, then many letters can be vowel at a certain point, and you got 2 in the holly because it makes the same sound as ie lol xD

  8. Y is considered to be a vowel if… The word has no other vowel: gym, my. The letter is at the end of a word or syllable: candy, deny, bicycle, acrylic. The letter is in the middle of a syllable: system, borborygmus.
So technically Buckley the Y is a vowel by definition.

  9. for all the people that say that „y“ is not a vowel, you for sure need to go back to school 😂😂 „Y“ is a greek letter which is used as a vowel in the greek language and all the other languages which have gotten the „y“ from the greek alphabet use it as a vowel too 😃
